The fact is that the vast majority of the populations of these countries will never be able to aspire to even living above the poverty line until corruption is conquered and the money used to develop the infrastructure of the countries rather than feather the luxurious nests of the few at the top. I lived and worked in west Africa for five years and that's the way it was and unfortunately still is.
